Well, for those of you who don't know the layout of online poker, here's what happens.

I have A7 suited in late position, I call the blinds hoping to strike a flush draw, instead, I flop a full house, Aces full of 7s. I know one of the donkeys on my left is sure to have an Ace and I check, steve_s bets, called by billinpocono, I raise all-in having had my suspicions confirmed. steve_s probably had T7 or something shite and folds, and with just billinpocono to go, I say "fold imma win", so that if he had any thoughts about folding his 3 of a kind, he'd have extra motivation to call me. He calls!

Sweet, donkey has 3 of a kind, I have a full house, doubling-up time!

Turn comes an 8!

Bitch now has Aces full of 8s to my Aces full of 7s and takes down the $30 pot.

I've literally lost around $150-$200 worth of bad beats these past 2 days, to the worst poker players in the world.

God better give me some super models to sleep with in the next week to make up for this shit, or people are going to start dying. Good people.

Uh. Flop the nuts, I'm not going to fuck around, this guy is a fucking donk who's already sucked out on a $20 pot on the river. Like a donkey, he calls with 2 pair, great, going to take some revenge on this bitch, but nooo, rivers comes a 9 giving him a full house.
The dick didn't even know what I had, he says "I knew you had me beat" (which is why he called?) then said "you got lucky on the turn though, so it's fair" no mate, I flopped it, YOU got lucky, you stupid piece of shit.

Usually I couldn't care less about a bad beat, they happen, but this guy is now sitting on my right, with $20.45. He's taken $40 worth of pots off me by striking lucky on the river! Within 6 minutes he's fucked away $20 of my money! He's now decided to give away my winnings to everyone else sitting at the table. Ugh.

These people don't get away with it, however. I note them down as owing me money, this guy owes me a minimum of $20 of his own money, it may take years, but I'll get this little bitch.

I hope this guy takes Nominet down and strips Apple of the domain. Those bastards handed over my domain to Microsoft about a year ago.

Without so much as a letter to inform me that they had stole my domain, Nominet just switched it over to Microsoft and that was it. The strange thing is that I even forwarded the domain to EXACTLY where it currently forwards.

The cool thing at the time was that Microsoft, for a long-ass time, thought they owned the domain. Loads of their various documents online referred to microsoft.uk.com, and it was all coming to me.

This article talks about how "[the guy] had failed to use Nominet's service to resolve disputes."

The only contact from Nominet that I ever got was some dumbass certificate they sent me through the post about 3 years after registering the domain, as an *OFFICIAL* document confirming I did, infact, own a domain name. Awww, thanks!

That didn't stop them from stealing it.

This guy "accused Nominet of being biased against small businesses and applied to a High Court for a judicial review".
If you look at Nominets Dispute Resolution page:

Complaints must correspond to the prescribed format and should be submitted to the DRS team using the online complaint form. Nominet will seek a response from the Registrant, after which it will initiate an informal mediation process. If a resolution cannot be achieved through mediation, the Complainant can refer the case for a decision by an independent expert on payment of a fee of £750 (plus VAT).

If either party is dissatisfied with the outcome, they may appeal within five working days of the decision being made on payment of a fee of £3000 (plus VAT); there is a split fee system also available - see the procedure for details. The Appeal will be heard by a panel of three experts from the list.

So in other words, a big company comes and requests your domain name, Nominet immediately transfers the domain to said company and doesn't contact you in any way. You then have to pay £750 for an "independant expert" - plus VAT (why? well why not, the govt wants to tax you for receiving back your own stolen property). If this "expert" fails to sort it out (basically he says "Are either of you willing to give up your argument for ownership of the domain name" - which both parties obviously say no to 100% of the time) and then that's it. The domain stays in the hands of the big company. Then, you must appeal, within 5 working days, at the cost of £3000 - plus VAT (again, the govt likes to charge you for justice every step of the way) and this time the number of "experts" triple, to three! Ofcourse, when Nominet wins through all these steps (that's a complete given, you think they're going to help you prove them wrong?!) you then have to take it out of Nominets own complaints program, and go to court to claim ownership of your own domain!

Not biast against small companies at all! All companies have a £20k stash just incase they need to protect their domain from being stolen by Microsoft or Apple or Sun or any other behemoth wanting to bully you into giving away your possessions.

If I hadn't been so poor, or so blatently bound to lose any and all legal action with the domain, I would have sued.

Microsoft didn't even offer me money!. That domain was about £60, Microsoft owes me £60. Fortunately (and that is the correct word to use) I do own (and that is the wrong word to use) about £10 million pounds worth of Microsoft software, this eases the pain, just slightly.

In the News: Government bows to terrorism, again

You couldn't make this shit up.

This article talks about how, a terrorist, Sean Kelly, left a bomb in a fish shop which then killed 9 people. He's been convicted in a court of law of terrorism.
He's now been given early release, as a way of bargaining with the IRA (that terrorist group which planted bombs across Britain for 3 decades with the backing of America).

Could this be the same government, headed by Tony Blair, who can be quoted as saying he won't "give an inch to terrorism"?

I guess so. Seeing as Blair manages to draw a line between terrorist group A and terrorist group B.
What's the common denominator? They both plant bombs. They both kill civilians. But one seems somewhat acceptable, and bargaining with them is just that. Whereas the others are evil and bargaining with them is out of the question.

Blair says Iraq is no excuse for terrorism. But Northern Ireland is?


Oh, and seeing as no one else seems to have the balls to say it, I will. Islam is a bullshit religion. Founded by a paedophile who one day started saying he was a prophet. Forced people to follow him, and murdered anyone who wouldn't.

Rant: Ya'll ready for this?

What a load of bullshit this live8 was. A load of multi-millionnaire celebrities campaigning for everyone else to give more aid to Africa. Money doesn't help shit. The only way to cure Africa is through economic development, and that can, and will, only come about through regime changes, throughout the continent.

You always get people jumping on the bandwagon with these things, e.g. that terrorist Mandela in Johannesburg, always one to whore himself to any sort of media attention, standing up on stage calling for action. Why does this guy have a voice? He put bombs in schools for fuck sake. Would we listen to Bin Laden to tell us whether or not to raise interest rates? Mandela wasn't even a good president, he fucked South Africa up royally.

Then there's this protest going on in Edinburgh.
Here's a fact. Out of all those people on the street protesting for more aid for Africa, probably 2% are there because they actually believe more aid should be given to Africa. These things are always, without fail, hijacked. Guarantee you'll see anti-Bush, anti-Blair and generally anti-American signs in the crowd, ofcourse you'll get anti-Israel protests going on, the token Nuclear Disarmanent crowd, others wanting to save the rainforest and anti-Capitalist hippies smashing up McDonalds. They're certainly not there to give more aid to Africa.
Already there's been arrests made, because people are stupid, and can't protest peacefully.

It's one thing to wear a rubber armband to show support for Africa. It's quite another to live with 90% tax because your government gives away your money, without your consent, to foreign, corrupt, governments.

Also at G8 there'll be talk of preventing global warming. Kyoto is not only completely unfair to developed nations, but the nations that have signed up to it aren't even keeping to it. None of the targets made are going to be met. They were never meant to be. It was just a way for these countries to sign up and say "Hey, look! We're saving the world!"
The only way things are going to be turned around is when it's financially viable to pursue other sources of energy. That's the big irony. You have to cut your emissions and completely destroy the economy. The economy is all we have. It'll be the economy that will save us, so once you've destroyed your economy, whatcha gonna do?

Besides, we could do with a warmer climate.

Don't you think it's strange how you'll hear reports such as "This has been the hottest summer for 87 years! It's because of global warming!".
Sorry asshole, but that means 87 years ago we had a summer that was even hotter. Was that down to global warming, too?
Besides, this country was far hotter 1000 years ago than it is now. 1000 years ago we had a climate closer to Southern France.

Scientists can talk all they like about ice sheets melting, yet we don't seem to hear of all the ice sheets that are growing. All these little islands in the pacific which supposedly should have disappeared by now are still around. Strange. Anyway, ice caps have grown and shrunk throughout history, they'll continue to do so. If I'm wrong (which I'm not) then the worst that'll happen is that we'll all live closer to the beach. Who doesn't want to live closer to the beach!?


We'll find out who's going to be hosting the 2012 Olympics this week, I'm just glad London won't get it. By losing the battle we win the war. Every single city that has hosted the Olympics is thrown back to the stone age for a decade to pay for it. Besides, once Paris gets it, they have to pay for everything (well, they'll no doubt get EU funds for it aswell, meaning we'll be paying for it too) and Paris is (sadly) just a train ride away, so everyone brave/mentally handicapped enough to travel to France can go see the 2012 Olympics anyway.

Crisp gets to celebrate our birthday almost an entire day ahead of me thanks to the messed-up Aus time zones, but rest assured, I am older than him, whatever he says, he's wrong. I'm older.

In other news, something is rotting. It smells like cream-that-used-to-be-milk but I have no cream-that-used-to-be-milk around me, so I don't understand where it's comming from.
