Wow, I finally got my new (second hand) roller blades today, from eBay. They're meant to be roller hockey skates so they are ideal for fast speeds and excellent for sharp turns. They are absolutely brilliant, although so far after only one day I got a bit enthusiastic and skated backwards, fast and hit a car I didn't even know was there. I had just built up momentum and then BAM all of a sudden I was on there floor sitting against a small blue Micra. Fortunately no damage was done to the car :)
Here's a lovely picture of them;
I got them for a bargain price as well, what with it being eBay. Superb :)

Excellent. Since it doesn't snow where I live, street hockey (what you call "roller hockey") is all we have (unless you are part of an ice hockey league). I've always enjoyed it. Bauer makes a good skate, too.
Do you play hockey?

Yeah, Bauer makes great skates - they are excellent. I don't actually play hockey as such, I just skate for fun. I have got a stick and I'll sometimes go out and have a game for fun, but I don't play very often. I just like skating around for fun, and enjoy the adrenaline of going really fast and only being partly in control ;)?
So do you play in a league or similar then?

Ouch, must have hurt quite a bit :-\
It's all part of the fun though for me ;)

Nope, no league. I used to play with friends (in fact, we even emulated real hockey by getting into a fight one time), but I haven't even played in about 7 years. I don't know anyone that plays anymore..
