Had my 18th birthday recently, which was most enjoyable and it's good to be finally 18 when the very large majority of my friends have turned 18 way before me.
Exam results this thursday (19th) which will be crucial to what happens for the nextfew years of my life, so understandably I'm a little nervous but as always hoping for the best. All the best to Mike, rel and Crisp with your results too guys :D
As always there'll be the usual commentry in the media about how the A-levels are getting much easier which takes some of the gloss of for those people that have put a lot of effort in to achieve their grades, however good they are.
I've got my 6th form end of year 'Prom' thing coming up soon also, which has the potential to suck, but hoping to make a good night of it and go out and celebrate our results or commiserate, where applicable ;)
I was sure I had some more things to blog about but I can never remember them when it comes to this, so I'll sign off here.

Oddly I havn't really given it a thought. Maybe because it bears little relevance on my immediate life, since I'm not going to uni this year and will be rejecting my places. Maybe it's because I might not even go to uni at all now. Maybe it's because I did fuck all work for my A Levels, and this is some kind of early defence mechanism. Who knows :)

Yeah good luck to you too c *smiles*.
I've also got my defence mechanism in place, these results could be painful...Oh yeah, now I remember getting confused between actus and mens rea on the law paper...these results will be painful *brave smile*.

Yea that really pisses me off how nowadays people (who have been out of education for atleast 10yrs themselves) claim everything is easier nowadays, well in their time they never had to spend 6 months doing hundreds of pages of (what is essentially bullshit, but hard bullshit), they just sat an exam, whereas we do both. Also, a lot of their exams weren't as long as ours are now, most of my teachers agree it's far harder now than when they were in education. Maybe it's just because our generation is smarter than theirs, and it hurts.
