I went to see a sports doctor/physiotherapist about my knee and was pleased that he actually knew what he was talking about compared to the guy in Accident & Emergency, but not so pleased with his diagnosis. My problems arise out of the fact that my left foot pronates quite significantly, which has led to iliotibial band friction syndrome where the band of muscles that connects the thigh to the knee and down to the calf rubs over the knee and causes friction that is highly painful but quickly subsides when the activity stops. Long and short of it is, I need to get some new running trainers and some orthopedic instep for my shoes to correct my walking action. It's strange how I'd never noticed before how my left foot is like it is. Oh, well just need to soften up the muscle band and hopefully all will be well again soon.
I also handed in my notice at work, which is the end of an era for me because 've been there a couple of years and made some good friends despite the alarming labour turnover. I won't be going back though; certainly looking to get a better paid and more enjoyable job next time around.

I can 100% identify with that last paragraph, because I did the same a couple of months ago. That sucks about your foot/knee, but at least it's not permanant or irrevocable. Oh, and just noticed that this blog entry is id '1337', it must be a sign c138 :D
