I forgot this place even existed. I will now update my blog every 3 hours. And by 3 hours, I mean years.
Anywho, I figured since it's been about 4 years since I posted on here, I should give a quick update to what's happening with penfold. Well firstly, you'll notice that I spell penfold with a lower-case p now. It's much cooler.
Secondly, I'm in college.. Well, technically I'm in work placement for college at the moment. I'm designing web applications. It's alright I guess. Pays the bills. I'm not sure what I want to do with my life. At the moment, I'm studying Multimedia Applications Development.. But there is the option for me to go into TV production when I finish my degree with a 1 year follow-on. Jobs are pleanty, as it is in a niche market. The company produces programs for TG4, which is the Irish language channel. Which is also something I've become very interested in in the past year or so.
We study the Irish language here all during school. However, not enough time is focused on the conversational aspect of the language, so after 13 years of study - it's rare to see a student with reasonable fluency of the language. So I've been studying on my own time, and organising conversational nights out in my city. It's going well. Tá mo ghaeilge níos maith anois!
That's all for now. Work's over. Time to hit the high road!

That's cool man. I know a few basic Scottish Gaelic phrases. It's derived from Old Irish anyways. My friend is from Scotland, he can speak both Irish and Scottish Gaelic. He moved to Ireland when he was about 11.
